The adventure continues!

10 Dec 2019

Do you have the post AJ2019 Blues? There is plenty of adventure still to be found!

Our hall is within the Ridge Park Recreation Reserve of the City of Unley and fronts Barr Smith Avenue, Myrtle Bank. More details about the location and Ridge Park are here.

The Scout Group uses the hall on some weekday evenings during school terms and occasionally for special events on weekends. Suitable day-time or some weekend hiring would be most welcome. The hiring of the hall for evening parties for young adults is discouraged as we value our good relationship to our neighbours.

  • The hall has a clear usable area of 13m x 10m of a coated wooden flooring.
  • There is a commercial kitchen with stainless steel benches, hot plate, oven, fridge and microwave. This has clear rear access to the park.
  • There are separate male and female toilets. But there is no disabled access to the main floor level (5 steps) and no disabled toilet.
  • There are 10 trestle tables available, with 71 plastic stacking chairs with metal legs (46 cream and 25 orange). The Main Hall can accommodate about 80 persons.
  • A wood fire is available. (Own wood to be supplied.) There is no other heating. Extra heaters will need to be supplied by hirers. An additional charge of $4 per day or part thereof for the electricity supplied to those heaters.
  • There are 4 whiteboards and a large motorised roll up/down projector screen.
  • There is an adjacent meeting room 4m x 9m with a street front external entry. This has a round conference table with 8 plastic chairs and soft chairs/couches for up to 16 persons.
  • There is off-street parking for up to 10 cars in a nearby tennis court car park.
