Our hall is within the Ridge Park Recreation Reserve of the City of Unley and fronts Barr Smith Avenue, Myrtle Bank. More details about the location and Ridge Park are here.
The Scout Group uses the hall on some weekday evenings during school terms and occasionally for special events on weekends. Suitable day-time or some weekend hiring would be most welcome. The hiring of the hall for evening parties for young adults is discouraged as we value our good relationship with our neighbours.
Fees for Hiring the Hall
The cost of hiring the Scout Hall is $275 for the first 4 hours, $68 for every extra hour. 24 hours of hire is available for $550. Prices include GST. You will need to book for both set-up and clean-up times (normally included in the fee). All new hirings are subject to a $600 bond refundable on the return of the key if the hall is adequately cleaned after the event, such that the hall has been left in a state where we don't have to clean it before its next use.
Long-term hiring is welcomed. Significant discounts can be negotiated.

Conditions of Hire
Before hiring, proof of current Public Liability Insurance must be provided. Minimum AU$ 10,000,000.00 (Ten million dollars). This will be by way of a certificate from your insurer.
A standard Scout hall hiring contract will have to be completed and fees paid at the time of completing that agreement. Basic conditions are that the Scout Hall is left in the state that you found it or better and that you don't interfere with Scout Group items. Any damage is to be paid by the hirer.
