Fund Raising at Public Events

If the Scout Group is involved in a public event, such as our operation of the Suasage Sizzle at Bunnings Mile End, this must be seen as both a publicity and a fund raising opportunity.

We need to make a profesional impression with our volunteers dressed in clearly identified by wearing Scout Group polo shirts. The set up should include display of our banners and suitable hand-outs for propective members.

To make this work, you will need to volunteer to be on the staffing roster for such events.

Unfortunately, the opportunities to be part of some events like the "Tour Down-Under" has been often locked up by some commercial over-spanning contract. So the availability of these participations has become very limited and highly competitive. If you know of an opportunity please contact the Group Support Committee.
